    I’d say it’s not. Since I updated to WP 6.0, my sites stopped serving webp images.

    I apologize; the plugin works. It will do a proper replacement and serve a webp image if the browser supports it.

    The problem is if the image is contained in the class that is not img. For instance in <div> where image is loaded as style (style=background-image). This will render the image in its original format.

    Also, one more proof where Google Page Speed fails, as it is checking only the extension of the file and not the element class in which the image is loaded.
