Block all countries exept mine

    I created a second hand portal for users only from my country.
    But I got many spam and bot registrations.

    Is there a way to block all user registrations that are not from my own country?
    That would help me a lot to block all those spam registrations.

    You can generate a number of IP’s to whitelist from here: https://www.countryipblocks.net/acl.php

    Ok, so what excaclty do I have to do?
    I only want to have registrations from my country ITALY.

    So I choose the country on the left,
    And what format do I have to choose on the side?
    After creating the ACL where do I have to paste the copied text in?

    On the left choose your country, on the right choose: “Apache .htaccess Allow”
    This should only allow IP’s from your country

    Hm, it is not working on my end.
    I will get a list like that:
    allow from 217.200.210.0/23
    allow from 217.200.212.0/22

    Where exactly do I have to paste that then?
    I tried it in the section user registration -> IP Whitelist
    But I get a bunch of error messages:
    not a valid IP Format
