I can’t delete the attribute. When I clicked on the edit, i got the error

    Error: non-existing attribute ID.

Is there anything that I can do to remove it?

    Hi @knguyen2011 ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you are unable to delete an attribute, and are receiving an “Error: non-existing attribute ID“.

As a first step, please could you navigate to WooCommerce > Status > Tools and run the tools to Clear Transients and Clear WooCommerce Transients, and then see if you are able to delete the attribute?

If the issue is still present, please share a copy of your sites System Status which you can find via?WooCommerce > Status. Select ‘Get system report’ and then ‘Copy for support’.

Once you do this, you can paste your response here.

    Thanks!

    Hi @knguyen2011

You are getting the error “non-existing attribute ID”. That indicates that there is a possibility that the attribute is already deleted (may be when you tried it the first time).

So, in addition to clearing transients, I’d suggest clearing the cache as well. Here’s a step by step guide about clearing cache that you may find helpful: https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-clear-your-cache-in-wordpress/

If the issue persists even after trying the above, please share a copy of your site’s System Status.

    Thanks

    Hi @knguyen2011 ,

Just to add, in addition to what I recommended previously, I forgot to mention to please also clear your “Orphaned variations” from the WooCommerce > Status > Tools.

Let me know how this goes!

I did all things but no luck. I used sql queries to remove them but no luck.

    Hi @knguyen2011,

Can you verify if parts of that specific attribute are still in the database and consequently causing that error? Here’s an article that explains which database tables you can look at to find where the attributes are stored.

    https://www.webhat.in/article/woocommerce-tutorial/how-product-attribute-are-stored-in-database/

As usual, make a full backup of your site and database before going through changes. More details at: Backing up WordPress content.

    Cheers.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m marking this thread closed for now – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
