  • Well I’m a bit disappointed too because I thought the official Vimeo plugin should provide basic upload functionality, instead they give us fancy but questionable product gallerymaking stuff like… what is this??

@lucaskich thanks for the suggestion, we will add it to our backlog roadmap for consideration

@frafor the plugin does indeed provide upload functionality directly from within WordPress, however this functionality is currently limited to the backend admin of WordPress and not available for front-end users.

@vimeodev thank you, I’m cheering for this to be greenlit after your team’s consideration. Outside this plugin the functionality itself already exists (see Use the API to let others upload to my account), but it’s not quite user-friendly and requires a significant API background to implement. Since this WordPress plugin already provide an upload form, enabling us to link our OAuth 2 token from My Apps to authenticate API requests (and therefore allow users to upload to our Vimeo accounts by having that form available as a visible element in the front-end via a shortcode or whatnot) would be a great next step for the upload functionality. I’ll be following the updates closely!
