• Hello ??

    Short version:
Is it possible to allow a registered and logged in user to view password protected WordPress pages without having to enter the password to those pages?

Basically, if you are authenticated with your user account, you can view password protected pages.

    Long version:
I run a small community website for a residential development of about 70 apartments. I have a couple of ‘password protected’ pages on the site due to some sensitivities.

The password to access those pages is periodically posted through residents post boxes, physically on a small business card.

However, I would like to be able to let users with an account, and who are logged in, to be able to view those password protected pages without having to also enter the password.

I want to be able to give residents the option of not having to register an account in order to view some pages (hence the password protected pages), but if they chose to register an account and are logged in, I don’t want them to have to enter the password, too.

This subject has been touched upon on this website and elsewhere but I can’t seem to find an elegant solution to this issue.

I would be very grateful if anyone has any thoughts or solutions.

    Thank you.
