Conflict with WooCommerce Global Payments HPP

  • Hi,

    When i’m going at checkout in english, there is no window opening for the payment. If I just switch the checkout page to french the window automatically open in french. But when we try to do the payment, the checkout return to the same, no messages and it create another order with the same products but a different order number. The only way I found now is to ask my customer to make the payment in french. I’m using WPML for translation, and tried to deactivate many plugins and only Woocommerce multilingual seems to have a conflict with Global. Global payment works when Woocommerce multilingual is deactivated but it was just for testing because I need it for my Website.

    Which payment plugin/gateway exactly are you using? Could you please send us more details?

    Hi, the plugin WooCommerce Global Payments HPP and also I forgot the PayPal Payments plugin from Woocommerce. How can I reproduce the issue, there too many settings and plugins. Today I tried to deactivate all the plugins and kept the payment plugins one by one to test. When I deactivate Woocommerce Multilingual and refresh the page at checkout, the window is displayed for the payment. What could be blocking the payment window to be displayed in the second language(english for me)

    It was not possible to reproduce the problem on the test site. Is this correct?

    If so, could you please enable wp_debug on your website, and check if it display any error message? If so, plase send us a screenshot: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/debugging-wpml/

    I think we will need to do some tests with a copy of your website to resolve this issue. However, as this process involves sensitive information, it will not be possible to do this through the wp.org support forum.     Thanks for reply.

    I tried on your test site but the plugin can’t work if I don’t install my confidential setting and password.

    But you can go on my website: atoutprix.ca and try to make an order with Global Payment if you enter a Canadian or USA address. It won’t go to the payment window in english language.

    Then if you switch in French the payment window is displayed. So the payment can’t be completed. If I deactivate Woocommerce Multilingual, both languages payment work.

    I tried to test with debug mode but no errors. I test with PayPal and it works now.
    If you have a clue, let me know. I will ask for support with Woocommerce Global Payment too.

    Thank you for your reply @fsalvail, however we are unable to replicate the issue in the Sandbox although it is visible in your site.

    As this process involves sensitive information, it will not be possible to do this through the wp.org support forum. May I ask you to open a new ticket in wpml.org in order to handle your problem more quicker? We need to take a deeper look in your problem, in order to find the source and see if it is a bug in order to fix it.

    Hi,

    I finally found the solution and nothing was pointing to that solution. For your information if something the happen the same or similiar to someone else, the file wp endpoints-fr_FR.mo in wp-content -> languages -> wpml folder was i think corrupted. I just delete it and everything is working now. Also I had other php errors that not happening anymore. It’s not the first time that I have an issue with a file in this folder.

    Thank you very much for sharing your findings @fsalvail, good catch!
    Indeed, all translations generated by WPML String Translation are stored in that folder, so there could have been an issue during the translation of your endpoints.
