getting “Unable to locate WordPress Theme directory”

  • I am trying to change theme in the WordPress site and I am getting errors…

    1. By ftp, I put WordPress into [root]/www directory on my server
    2. When trying to install a theme, I had message “Unable to locate wp-content directory”.
    3. I added these to lines to wp-config.php:
    define(‘FTP_BASE’, ‘/www/’);
    define(‘FTP_CONTENT_DIR’, ‘/www/wp-content/’);
    4. Now, I am getting message “Unable to locate WordPress Theme directory” when trying to install the theme.

    What should I do?

    I am trying my first trials with WordPress – up to now, I was just working wiht obsolete FrontPage, in which I created 2 sites in total. So sorry for this question, which is probably quite stupid.
