• Hello, for some time without changing anything I have had a problem with the extension. Randomly, when I set up an event with purchase objective, it is displayed in pageview.

I looked at everything, the configuration seems good and so far it worked perfectly.

I haven’t changed anything, it just happened all of a sudden so I don’t know what to do.

Facebook is telling me now about a deduplication issue that didn’t exist before.

I’ll post screenshots of the configuration. Sometimes when I save event the pixel does show “purchase” then other times it shows “page view”.

When I do a server test, it’s the pageview event that goes up in the event handler and not the purchase event as before. However, the purchase event is well configured and I have not changed anything, it has been the same for several months…

Thank you in advance for your help.

Try to use URL Contains instead of Match.

PageView is always send, so basically your problem is that Purchase doesn’t fire all the time. I suspect sometimes there are some parameters on the URL where the event is suppose to fire, and because you use Match, it doesn’t.

Deduplication: we always send the required event IDs parameters with our events. If all your events are configured with our plugin, the message is a false positive.

Thank you very much for the quick response. Ok for testing with contain but on the other hand, if I put URL contains, does this not risk triggering false purchase events when people connect to my site? And I’ve always used URL match and it’s always worked until now so I don’t understand what could have changed?

For deduplication it worked perfectly before.

I will look thank you again for answering me.

    Hi there,

I still have the same problem. You see when I do a “server” test with the test code, the PURCHASE event does not appear in the server category while the page view event does. I don’t understand because, I haven’t changed anything, everything was working fine before. What should I do ?

Same issue with add to cart. All the events I created in “event” have the same problem, the server does not return them. However, the Pixel Helper extension detects them well.

    Edit :

I tried everything, I put CONTAINS instead of MATCH but it’s the same. What is strange is that sometimes events go back and sometimes not. And there for example if we look at the capture below we see that the server only returns “Pageviews” when it should return an add to cart.

Ok after some testings I have some interesting information. I have another website with an older version of Pixel Your Site installed (Version 9.0.0) and as you can see in the screenshot below, the test works and the server returns the purchase event perfectly.

So the problem comes from the version change when the signal event was removed.

    What am I doing now?

Can i back to an older version of the plugin (9.00) ? Where to find it for download please ? Thanks

Me again, I used WP backroll to install an old extension of Pixel Your Site on my site but the problem still happen on the first website…

I don’t understand where it can come from, both sites are the same. Are there any possible conflicts with updates on other plugins? What can I test?

What can I test? I’m a little lost I feel like I’ve tried everything… I need help, working and searching doesn’t scare me but I’m a little stuck here :/

Ok, so I tested everything possible.

I compared the two sites (the one that reports the events purchases / add to cart via server and the one that does not report them).

I compared the installed plugins and tried desactivate them one by one.

I removed the Pixel Your Site plugin, reinstalled it, generated a new Token for the API.

Still the same problem… The events that I create in Event do not trigger via the API, only via the browser. Except pageviews.

Apparently, automatic events that are not set manually work. It’s the ones I set in “event” that don’t fire (except pageviews).

I don’t understand where it can come from, I tried everything I’ve been there since this morning.

I send a message to the facebook support too.

I may try via Google Tag Manager but don’t want to start all over again for nothing…

Could you help me when you have a moment? Thanks.

@bestoffitpack ALL our events are sent both ways, browser and server. Make sure you don’t configure any events outside the plugin.

Hi ! Yes i know… I also read all the forum posts I’ve been there since this morning xD. I have been using the extension for almost 2 years, I have never had this kind of problem so far. The problem happened on its own probably after the latest updates. I don’t understand.

As you have seen, only the page view event goes up via the server AND the browser, the others do not go up.

But there is a general concern because, randomly, even browser events do not go up too. I haven’t set up events anywhere else, I’m only using Pixel Your Site and again I didn’t change anything it happened on its own.

The strangest thing is that on my other site with another pixel, it works even with the latest version.

A facebook bug is possible ? Can I check something or do some tests or something?

    @bestoffitpack possible reasons:

    1. The test tool has a problem – not that uncommon.

    2. The token is not correct – unlikely, since there are some server events.

    3. Some conflict on that particular site. Maybe a cache plugin, maybe something else.

    4. The test code is expired.

What I can tell you is that there are no changes regarding server events in the latest version compared to a number of previous versions of the plugin.

Ok thanks for the reply, i have test all the solutions possible, i think its a Facebook bug or something like that.

    I’ll keep you in touch.

    Thanks ??
