Website keeps redirecting to Deleted page

    Hi, I was writing up a new page on my wordpress website, and i had it published. After having it published, I would visit my website via: loyalkng.com and it would automatically direct me to my event page which is (deleted) loyalkng.com/events/

    The issue is that my homepage contains all the latest blog posts, but after publishing the event page, which I deleted in hopes of fixing the problem, the loyalkng.com keeps going into loyalkng.com/events/ which is showing an error since i deleted the page.

    I was wondering how I could bring my site to the original format where the loyalkng.com will show the new blog posts again. Thanks!

    Bump, do anybody know a solution to this problem?

    I tried locating the issue through looking at the .htaccess file, the settings in my wordpress, but I am unable to source out the reason why my website (loyalkng.com) keeps on redirecting to my deleted event page…

    I fixed the issue. The plugin “redirect” was causing the error… What a headache ??

    I had the same problem. Deactivating the plugin “redirect” solved it for me as well.
