• Dear Marko ( @wpfleek ) and OceanWP team,

I have been using your theme for a few years now with great satisfaction. Until not long ago @serafino kept updating his OceanWP Child Theme. For some very good reasons, I’m sure, he cannot do that any longer.

After my recent OceanWP theme update I have noticed that you have introduced your own OceanWP Child Theme. The tutorial available is for how to export the customisations from the main theme to the new child theme. My question is, how can I export the customisations from Serafino’s former OceanWP Child Theme to your new Child Theme.

I am not a tech savvy and I’m afraid to start the process and compromise all I’ve achieved so far. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Best wishes,
    Cezarina

  • Hello,

We are most certainly thankful for your feedback.

Sorry but no need to upgrade the child theme. When we use the child theme, only need to upgrade the parent theme not the child theme.

We have child theme from the start, we just upgraded the document now.

Are you using an official child theme or create using any plugin?

I would suggest you to please take a full backup of site.
Export the data from you child theme by following the steps in the doc, install the official child theme and import that exported data.
