Is a multi-site network right solution for newspaper sites

  • I am setting up three newspaper sites which will share about 40% of their content and have the rest unique to each site, and I am debating whether to use wp 3.0 multi-site network capability or set up as individual 3 WP installations. Can someone please clarify for me if creating a multi-site network will allow me to publish an article (blog) just once and have it appear in mulitple sites? Are there any other obvious big pro’s or con’s?

    Only with plugins.

    The up side for using this in a newspaper situation is each blog (site) is separate from the others, so if you don’t want anyone from the sports section (for example) having access in the backend to anything from any other section, then it’s a plus.
