Says folders not writable but are after transfer

    I’ve transferred an installation of WordPress.
    The product images aren’t showing in WP Shopping Cart.
    Under products there’s a message

    The following directories are not writable:
/wpsc/downloadables/
/wpsc/previews/
/wpsc/product_images/
/wpsc/product_images/thumbnails/
/wpsc/category_images/
/wpsc/upgrades/
You won't be able to upload any images or files here. You will need to change the permissions on these directories to make them writable.

    They are writable and are set at 755
    Any ideas?

  • Try changing the permissions to 766. If you still have problems, try 767 or 777.

    – Just found it was the old absolute address for upload path in the options table

    nevermind my original text…figured it out too ??

    Okay, I’m having the same problem but can’t seem to resolve it. Obviously punga44 and crashfirephoenix solved it. Can you help? I’ve tried changing the permissions as suggested… no go. Maybe it’s the old absolute address… but I’ve not moved this blog. Something else you can think of?
