• I use WebHostingPad and CPANEL to install and support my WordPress Blog. I received a note today that said there was an ongoing cron job that they could not stop, so they needed to wipe out the entire Account and all directories. I asked them to restore Public_html/CarpeVino where my Blog is.

IF they do that, will I need to reinstall WordPress? I have all the SQL files for my database. But what about all my plugins and local modifications?

That’s entirely up to how your hosting provider does the restore, so it’s hard to say.

It’s entirely possible that you may need to restore the theme, plugins, and uploaded media yourself.

As for restoring the SQL database, please follow this guide: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/restoring-your-database-from-backup/

The site server restored everything. They needed to update some file attributes, since none of my categories or posts were updating
Now they are , but none of them show up on the my MY POST Page. When I update a post, I can view it through the view preview, the update seems to work, but nothing is displayed.

I checked my index, that seems fine
    Any ideas?

What’s the URL of the site with the problem?
