    Hi,
I read some time ago, that SG Optimizer was not supporting lazy-load for background images, but it was in the roadmap.
My question is if now it already supports lazy-load for background images or not, and in case not if there is some estimated time when it will support it.
    Thanks!

    Hello @pautgn,

We do not have particular plans about the mentioned feature request. If we make such implementation in future, it will be included in the changelog.

But background images will be cached, right?

If you mean optimization or performance, we actually optimize all images that are uploaded via WordPress Media uploader.

If the images are manually uploaded or if they are part of the theme/plugin files, then we do not optimize them.

    Hi,
I was asking if background images will be cached like any other regular image. You said lazy-load doesn’t work on background images, but I suppose they are at least cached anyway, right?
    Regards.

Yes, the caching should be working for such resources.
