Error when trying to update www.ads-software.com profile

Strange, I was able to change my profile information.

It seems that only some profiles are affected.

I cannot also. I was trying the other day and figured they were working on something?

Just tried again, says “There was a problem updating some of your profile information. Please try again.”

I would add the ‘modlook’ tag here, but feel that is not helpful.

@bqworks Can you try changing one thing at a time in the profile until you find what breaks? Once we have that, I can have the “meta” team take a look at code, etc.

thanks, Steve, but that is a no. One thing at a time or not. Why would that ever matter?

I’m just wondering if it’s traceable to a single field and if so, anything related to the content you’re trying to add. So, try to work with me here. My profile updates OK, so it’s not some giant global thing.

@sterndata, thank you for your reply! I’ve tried to change only the Website URL and I get the error. If I try to edit any other single field, I get the same error. From what I’ve read in other threads, Akismet flags some profiles as spam, for some reason, and that interferes with profile updates.

I’ll ask someone from the right team to take a look.
