  • You can use quic.cloud, a LiteSpeed CDN especially made for WordPress and cache plugin.

Thanks for the reply. my site has only Italian users. A cdn could be useful if I had users from all over the world.

    Yes, you are absolutely right.

So, how can I decrease the ttfb with litepseed?

    Thanks

TTFB depends on different facts like your host, how it is connected to internet backbone, the location of the client, where is he located, the quality of network connection and so on. So there could be more than 1 reason why TTFB could be bad. Before you do anything proof the connection quality from and to your host. This can be done with WinMTR https://sourceforge.net/projects/winmtr/, but should be done in both directions. The problem is that most shared hostings doesn’t support MTR, so if you are on shared hosting you can only check the connection from your local computer to your server.

    Give it a try.

Thanks for the reply. I did my tests and I found, with gtmetrix, values ??even above 0.800 ms. How can Litespeed reduce these values?
can I do something with the “crawler” section?

If you check your site with GTmetrix or any other network tools you must use the closest server to your host location. The higher the distance to your host the bad is TTFB. The closest (free) test server of GTMetrix to Italy is UK. That means that every user from Italy has a much better connection to your host as test server of GTMetrix, so GTMetrix cannot be used to get reliable information if the TTFB of your server is good or bad.

Use WinMTR and post the result, but let it run at least > 10 min and at different day times.

I don’t know how to run software that pointed to me

i noticed that font woff increases loading time

You are interested in inprove the speed of your page. To get more speed and performance you must learn what it depends on. I can give you only information where to get these information. It depends only on you to use these information, but basically with LiteSpeed web server and LiteSpeed cache plugin you already have everything to get best. And for your information, to get the same as with LiteSpeed other users must pay at least US 100,000 $ per year and you get it almost for free.

You seem to be on shared hosting. Shared hosting means you have to share everything, especially ressources, speed and performance. If you want to get more, you must invest money for a dedicated server, but also for your information, the most speed problems with WordPress are based on the used theme. They all use too much code for CSS, Javascript, Fonts and so on. If you want to get a better performance of your WordPress installation reduce everything you don’t really need. This includes fonts you don’t really need. This also means >>>> NEVER <<<< load Fonts from Google, because every request to external host will have affect on page loading time and TTFB as well.

Sorry, I am out of this discussion.

How can I not use google fonts?

Do I need to install another plugin? Can’t I do anything with litespeed to fix this?

Do I need to install another plugin?

It is better not to use a plugin and to modify the used theme instead, because each additional plugin costs load you don’t have.

Can’t I do anything with litespeed to fix this?

    No.

You give a solution here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/use-preload-for-fonts/

You can try to use a plugin, but I don’t believe that it will together with cache plugin depending on settings in cache plugin.

Regardless of an incompatibility with cache plugin a plugin for to store fonts on your own server doesn’t solve the problem. Almost every theme developer includes fonts in stylesheet files. Font files may not be imported in stylesheets. They must be defined inline in html header before any stylesheets are loaded. In this way they can also be preloaded for the very best Pagespeed result. LiteSpeed web server still supports preloading in using a special cookie that prevents loading fonts for each page request, so you can get a lot to improve page load, but you need someone who does all changes.

The best way is to search for a theme developer or to ask the developer for your theme to modify your theme.
