Icon appearance and functionality stop working after some time

I’ve loved this plugin for such a long time. Unfortunately, after a recent theme change to Trellis (Mediavine), it no longer works consistently. What happens, is the icons change to little boxes, small dots or stacked up lines (Examples: https://snipboard.io/zXvMaY.jpg and https://snipboard.io/vRhOFV.jpg). And while you can hover over these boxes, they aren’t clickable and you cannot complete a rating submission. What’s interesting is, if I deactivate the Rate my Post plugin, clear the cache and reactivate, it works entirely as it should. But this only lasts half a day or so, then it goes back to the wrong icons and unclickable, until I repeat the process deactivate/reactivate process again. What might be going on here? It seems if this wasn’t compatible with the theme, it just wouldn’t work at all. I’m using all the same plugins I used before when it worked 100%, so it can’t be conflict there. Thanks for the help!
