Cannot load product-category page –

I cannot load some of the product-category pages. The page times out with a 503 Service Unavailable error, and causes spike memory and I/O, impacting all other pages on the site. Note: at times, some other product-category pages load ok, while others dont.

I have tried (in TroubleShooting mode):
– deactivate all plugins and switch to the Twenty Twenty theme.
– activated woocommerce (needed to replicate the issue). The issue could not be replicated.
– Switch back to the Customizr theme. Issue can be replicated. Only Woocommerce plugin is enabled at this point.

Please advise what I can investigate and next steps?
The site is not live yet (not launched due to this issue).
The site is currently in Maintenance Mode. Please let me know what you need to investigate the issue.
