since yesterday on all posts both new and published I have this report:
Keyphrase in SEO title: Not all the words from your keyphrase “…….” appear in the SEO title.
The yoast seo plugin version is 19.3 and was updated two days ago. Could it be a bug?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • It must be a bug because I am also seeing this for a post I wrote two weeks ago which is scheduled for Friday, July 15th. Two weeks ago, I was not receiving this message. The plugin is also reporting that my meta description for that post is 157 characters when it is in fact 141 characters, an acceptable length. I have premium and I’m going to report it over there, too, but I thought others should know you’re not crazy – Yoast is broken.

    Hello @angelo-pagano,

After the new plugin update, I am sorry to learn that you are receiving a notification about the keyphrase in your SEO title.

I suspect this is a cache issue. Please remove the SEO title you have entered and re-add it. This should resolve the notification. If it doesn’t do let us know.

@arbpen Does the issue persist after following the recommendation you got?

no it doesn’t go. I deleted it and rewrote it. I also disabled “wp super cache”. Is it possible to downgrade the yoast seo release?
There are also problems with the length of the text. The seo plugin doesn’t always report the correct number of words.

I did some tests. The slug field is the problem. Every time you edit the post you have to delete the content and rewrite the title. What if please it was possible to downgrade the version while waiting for you to fix the bug?

    Hi @angelo-pagano

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I’m sorry that our plugin caused a problem with the Keyphrase in the SEO title assessment. A bug report has been created internally and is under review by our product team. The issue occurs when you have used the snippet variables within the SEO title field.

    Workaround
You can use the SEO title as text without using any snippet variables to confirm that the Keyphrase in the SEO title is getting passed for the time till we fix this bug.

    What’s next?
Our product team will assess the severity of the issue and assign a priority level to the report. Our developers work on the highest priority issues first. We cannot give you an estimate of when they’ll start working on the issue.

If you have any further information that may affect the prioritization or help our development team solve this bug, please feel invited to reply to this forum topic, and we’ll share the information with our product team.

You can find out the previous version of the Yoast SEO here. But we recommend you to wait for the next version or to follow the workaround mentioned above.
