As with everyone else here, EVERYTHING is broken. Both Telegram and Twitter updates with this latest update. It’s a disaster. PLEASE FIX THIS. I did NOT need this headache on Monday morning when everything was working fine. There are no errors in the Twitter.

Twitter – I have done as requested and updated the API, added the old API to the new project, and all the keys stay the same. But the plugin just sits there spinning on “Sending Tweet” and NO error or stop or nothing. Stuck in an endless loop there. No errors in the log either. Nothing at all to work with.

Telegram – I get THIS error in the log, no explanation as to why or what’s brokek and it’s not mentioned in any of the update places.

    [2022-07-18 09:13:37] [User ID:45] – [Error] [Telegram – Telegram NewsBot] – -=ERROR=- WP_Error Object ( [errors] => Array ( [http_request_failed] => Array ( [0] => cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 45001 milliseconds with 766 out of 1323 bytes received ) ) [error_data] => Array ( ) [additional_data:protected] => Array ( ) ) – ERROR

I have tried updating and fixing everything as your support has stated, and it STILL DOESN’T WORK! This latest update is a mess and needs to be fixed ASAP as it’s disrupting my workflow. And I am a paid pro user, too!!

I have downgraded back to 4.3.26 as that is the only way to get it working again. I’ve already updated all my Twitter API project settings. Everything in 4.3.28 is broken (this is what I’m referring to along with everyone else) – I’ll wait for a proper fix for this before trying to update again.

The same here. I followed the steps updating twitter. Using Test your settings: Submit test Post to Twitter knob works fine. But posts are not sending to twitter and the plugin just spinning like in ABX thread.

FYI if anyone wants to download version 4.3.26 again – here’s a direct link from my own backup: https://onfs.net/3Oi3DgK

    thanks ABX
Are you able to post to facebook groups and instagram accounts in that .26 version?

Haven’t tested either of those myself. But I know .26 worked great on my site and never had any major issues, that’s why I reverted back to that version.

Please update plugin to the latest version 4.3.29

With 4.3.29 same result. Submit test Post to Twitter knob works fine. But posts are not sending to twitter and the plugin just spinning.
I have now installed 4.3.26. That works fine.

Same as ErikM19 has pointed out. Doesn’t fix anything. Still stuck on the spinning gif and no error or response. Twitter is STILL broken. This update didn’t fix anything.

Downgraded once again back to .26. Will wait and hope that maybe .30 will finally fix whatever is broken with Twitter… Even after updating the “Project” setup on Twitter’s Developer site, everything works perfectly fine in the old versions of the plugin.

Please contact support directly. We can’t replicate your Twitter issue here.

PS: Downgrading to .26 (or below) will help (we don’t know for how long) with apps that were created before July 15, 2022. Any Twitter app created on or after July 15, 2022 will NOT work with it.

Actually no this is wrong. I shifted both of my Twitter apps under a “Project” as your “Known Issues” page explained. This did NOT fix anything within versions .28 or .29. But when I downgraded to .26 it still works perfectly fine. Even without your new Twitter API upgrade, it still sends tweets perfectly fine after switching over to the “Projects”. The problem is with the plugin, not with the Twitter app switch. Even after making the switch, .28 and .29 are still broken. Sorry.

I didn’t say it will NOT work with older apps moved to projects. I said it will not work with apps (actually dev accounts) CREATED after July 15, 2022. Version .26 will give you “Your app requires elevated access level to do that” error with newer apps.

If you want more details, please take a look here:
    https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-api/getting-started/about-twitter-api#v2-access-level

There is a “Note” explaining the situation.
    https://shrd.pics/67t2vw.jpg

    Please note:

If you were approved for a developer account before November 15th, 2021, you were automatically converted to Elevated access. This means that your existing Apps can continue to be used to make requests to standard v1.1, premium v1.1, and enterprise endpoints, and that all of your user Access Tokens are still valid.

If you would like to start using v2 endpoints, you will need to attach an App to a Project and use the credentials from that App when making requests to v2 endpoints.

The only incorrect thing about this note, that it didn’t happen on November 15th, 2021, it happened 4 days ago on July 15th, 2022. Not sure why they moved the timeline but they did.

SNAP .26 and below uses API endpoints from what they call “Elevated access”. It was granted automatically before July 15th, 2022. Since that date, you need to apply for it and wait for approval.

SNAP .27 and later uses v2 API endpoints. They don’t require “Elevated access”, but “you need to attach an App to a Project”

    Hope it makes it clear.

Yes but then this sounds like something is wrong with your latest versions and the way you’ve changed the Twitter API in the plugin. Maybe you need some fallback code that allows BOTH old AND new accounts to still properly use and work with the new Twitter API. Because it seems all the old accounts are broken and old systems don’t work with the upgraded plugin.

    Support request has been submitted.

Downgrading to version .26 fixed issues with posting to Twitter, but not Instagram.
