    Hello,
i am quite new to WordPress therefore are my questions relatively vague, thus i don’t have website linked to my question.

My Question is centered about which Themes and Plugins i should use for my project.
It would be great to have full customizability and the possibility to edit every element via CSS. Or to be able to transform and position every Element in the way i choose. Also i have the need for an invisible audio player, playing a continous loop and the possibility to do animations.

    More specifically:
The landing page for the band, im creating the website for should have no header only a larger logo in the centered top, which should tilt along with a squeeking sound after about a second after the page loading. In the background there should be an image with a lamp centered.
Ordered around the lamp, there should be menu elements (The Band and Gallery on the left side of the lamp and Gigs and News on the right side of the lamp.
These Menupoints should be lightly tilted in different degrees and different directions and should be slowly floating in a very limited space; hovering in their position so to speek.
Underneath there should be an array of social media buttons and small at the ende of the page the obligatory stuff (conact, imprint, privacy, etc.).
Also i have a need for specific hover effects (grayscale, etc).

As you see, it would be ideal if i could edit every block element with css, but maybe you have better suggestions.

I could also attach pictures on how this should look, but i have’nt seen an option for it as of now.

I am sorry for my vague (or extremely specific) questions, and would be extremely glad for your help.

    Thank you in advance,
    Lompecard

  • You could try a PageBuilder like Elementor. That together with Hello Elementor as a theme. Then you can use templates to build the page the way you want it.

Or you can use the current standard theme TwentyTwentyTwo as the basis for your development. There, too, you can adapt the templates to your needs in the editor in the backend. To add CSS, you may need an additional plugin in this case.

Both solutions require a certain amount of training until you have a suitable layout. Don’t despair, but I think it is possible.

    Thank you for your respond.
I tried both and for example missed feature like positioning elements.
Are there any CSS Plugins to recommend?

In both tools you can also position elements. How else should you design websites? There are a lot of instructions for Elementor, here is one of them: https://elementor.com/blog/5-uses-absolute-positioning/

You might also confuse “absolute positioning” with “arrangement of elements”. So take a look at some tutorials before you start doing it manually.

There are CSS plugins that allow you to incorporate your own CSS code into the project. Something like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/simple-custom-css/ – alternatively you can also solve this with a child theme: https://developer.www.ads-software.com/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes / – it’s entirely up to you what you’re most comfortable with.

Thank you very much. Although i am a little confused, i am confident, that i’ll get it with a few additional reading and watching. Have a nice day and again, thank you.
