updating header

  • we need to add items like google tag, advert code

    in the header

    (we had set up in expound but it just got withdrawn with no warning)

    but after many failed attempts have to ask

    the text found there says

    ‘DO NOT ADD SCRIPTS HERE
    * USE a plugin like : https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/header-and-footer-scripts/
    *
    * This is commented out on purpose, it keeps plugins for incorrectly stating errors <?php wp_head(); ?>’

    so we activated that plugin with no luck

    Hey,
    Thanks for reaching out. The premium version of Virtue has an area for custom scripts, but not the free. Adding directly to the header is not advised unless using a child theme as it will be deleted with updates.
    I suggest using a plugin like this: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-coder/
