Is it possible?

  • Hi there.

    Are there any plugins/widgets/codex which allow to do:

    1. Custom user/editor/contributor registration page with own password field (I mean allow to type own password, not to wait for an email with the password)
    2. Registered users/editors/contributors page list with avatars and small description (something like Google Connect)
    3. To allow edit own (above) profile for registered users/editors/contributors
    4. Custom page (or a window) with article editor for registered users/editors/contributors (something like editor from the Control Panel)

    1) There are many plugins to let people pick their own password, though by making them read email, you can avoid many fake accounts.

    2 and 3) BuddyPress does this, though it may be overkill

    4) I’ve seen something called front end editor. Maybe that?
