    Hi,
I’ve been having issues updating. Namely the last wordpress update 6.0.1 keeps failing to install. I really tried to fix this myself, but no luck so far.
I translated my update log from Dutch to English, so I’m sure it’s not exactly how wordpress would’ve worded it, but I hope you can still figure it out ??

    THE UPDATE LOG:
    – `Update downloading from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/release/nl_NL/wordpress-6.0.1.zip…
    – The authenticity of wordpress-6.0.1.zip could not be verified because no signature was found.
    – Unpacking update…
    – Verify extracted files…
    – Some of your translations need updating. Wait a few seconds while we update it as well.
    – Updating translations for WordPress (nl_NL)…
    – Could not delete the old translation.
    – Update translation failed.
    – Updating translations for WooCommerce (nl_NL)…
    – Could not delete the old translation.
    – Update translation failed.
    – The update could not be extracted
    – Installation failed.`

    THINGS I’VE TRIED:
    – Scoured this forum for similar problems and their solutions.
    – I contacten my webhost and they told me it’s not an issue of not enough storage space or any other obvious issues they could find on the server.
    – I’ve tried deactivating every installed plugin.

    THING I HAVEN’T TRIED YET:
    – I suspect loco translate could be messing things up, because ever since I made sure my custom translations are written to a designated loco translate folder so they are save from being overwritten by system updates, updating has been ‘wonky’. I probably should delete the plugin just to try if that’s the problem, but I don’t want to lose all my custom translations to find out the problem wasn’t loco translate after all.
    – Downloading the update and installing it via my ftp program. I haven’t tried this yet because I have been intimidated by this idea and I’m afraid I will break everything.

WIERD THING THAT MIGHT BE RELATED:
Quite often I’ve gotten an error message after updating a plugin saying the update failed because it couldn’t delete the old translations, but when I checked the plugin it actually had been updated to the next version. Probably loco translate related as well.

I hope someone out there can help me. Thanks in advance!

    Catinka
