Latest blog posts without RSS via alternative index.php – how?

Hello!

I use a CMS and a wordpress blog. The should get the latest 5 blog posts via ajaxx. I created an alternative index.php called index2.php in my theme’s folder but I don’t know how to use it.

I’d like to control the html-output of this page easily. That’s why I’d prefer a solution without a rss reader.

It would be great if you could help me or give me a hint where and what i have to search for.
