you might be able to take ideas from this, or remove what you don’t need.

the code is getting all categories, and then taking each category and getting all posts from it, and showing them in a column.

set .col { width: 45%; } or so, to get two columns.

(should work if you only have two categories; otherwise the output may be a bit chaotic ?? )

probably, it would go into a page template, instead of ‘the loop’.
