Hosted on Dreamhost, down for days

  • Posting this because Dreamhost is listed as recommended hosting here. I have moved from Bluehost to Dreamhost recently. Jetpack pings me almost daily that website is down for minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour…

    Last few days was it was completely down.

    Things happen but have not heard anything like this from big hosting name before.

    Currently, they have downtime issue on specific databases for since 28 july and last update they did was on 2 days ago saying there is no ETA they are working.

    I have not posted here to seek support. I have explained why I have posted here. www.ads-software.com recommends hosting where you can be down for hours, days and week and this apparently does not seem something significant. Just few comments on their support page.

    Every hosting may have some kind of problems. Also stability is not just sole criteria to recommend some particular webhosting provider.
    It is sad that you ran into such kind of issues using them, but its still advised to contact webhost support and solve things on their side.

    Then you are on the wrong site. These are 100% support forums and if you are not looking for support from he WordPress volunteers then I am closing this topic.

    This site it not your blog though we know of some great software for that.
