I have used my WordPress account to set up WooCommerce for a client site for years. That site owner does not have a WordPress account (nor understand the necessary technical details). I attempted to extend that to WooCommerce Payments for WooCommerce Subscriptions for that client account and found that Plaid attempted to use my account for that client site. Is there a way to do this for the client or must they have their own WordPress account and their own Plaid connection through WordPress to use WooCommerce Subscriptions?

  • Hi @website101

I understand that Plaid attempted to use your WordPress account when you tried setting up your client’s web store.

If the client is using payment related plugins like WooCommerce Payments for WooCommerce Subscriptions on their site, it is better to have a WordPress account of their own. Connecting these with your WordPress account may not a good idea, unless you are responsible for handling the finances related to the site/shop. This is a general suggestion. You can still have different email addresses for WordPress and WooCommerce, though it might lead to confusions at some point of time.

Plaid being a third-party plugin tool, we are not familiar with its way of working. We recommend getting in touch with their helpdesk for help in this regard. You can submit a support request to Plaid team from this page: https://plaid.com/contact/

If you don’t mind, would you please consider taking 2 minutes to leave your review here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/view/plugin-reviews/woocommerce#postform – so that others can see the positive experience you’ve had? We would certainly appreciate it!
