Cannot Login ( suddenly after no changes?)

  • Running WP 2.92 on PHP 5.2 & MYSQl

    My blog (https://blog.incometimefreedom.com)is working fine, but suddenly I cannot logon with Admin or any other user account. I tried to have my password emailed, the screen ‘refreshes’ but no email arrives.
    I have renamed my plugins folder and my theme – no luck.
    i have changed a passsword via PHPAdmin – no luck.
    I have tried 3 browsers on 2 diffeent PC’s – no luck.
    I have refreshed the wp-login.php file – no luck.
    I have renamed the .htaccess file – no luck.
    There is no error on the screen when logon is attempted.

    Anyone, any ideas… please….

  • Just tried to register so i could test the login, an empty error message box appeared.

    Analyzed the database tables? Might be worth seeing if any tables need repair.

    Try replacing the wp-includes and wp-admin folders only from a fresh zip of WordPress and see if that helps (matching version of course), see the link below for obtaining a zip of your current version.

    I re-installed and restored my DB – quickest & only way I could find.

    Well it’s good news you have things up and running again, bad news you weren’t able to track down the source of the problem.

    Do you have error logging enabled, did you check the logs for clues?

    In any case, glad to hear your site is functional again.. ??
