Behavior of Retake Course

  • Hello!

    I noticed that when a User retakes a course that he finished, it loses all the progress in Gradebook. And if Content Drip is active, all the lessons get blocked again. And it loses its Certificate from its user profile.

    I couldn’t find solutions in docs or options in configuration to change this behavior. Is there any?

    If it isn’t, I would like to suggest to you some improvements in it.

    1. Erasing the Gradebook is bad for statistics. It would be nice to have options to retake a course erasing all the progress (for situations where that is needed) or just allow a user to rewatch freely the lessons of the course he just finished. So it would be nice to keep the track in Gradebook. And it would be nice to don’t block the lessons access with Content Drip when rewatching the course.
    2. It would be nice to have options to keep users certificates.

    Hi,

    1. At the moment, the LearnPress will reset progress when the user retakes the course, we only save the result of the quiz in the 3 newest times. Your request is the first time we get it. We just allow saving the progress of the user when they repurchase the course.

    1. I see. Perhaps it would be nice to have an option to set a course as free to rewatch the lessons. So it won’t block the course after the student hit the button Finish course and get his certificate. So it would be possible for them to access and just rewatch the lessons any time they want. It is a very common feature in other courses platforms.

    I guess this would be specially good for free courses and courses that don’t expire. Of course, it would have to be some restrictions to courses that are sold and the access expires.

    2. When the user retake a course, their Certificate in their profile is lost. This frustrates them. It would be nice if the Certificate remains in their account even if they retake a course.
