• Hello, I have been using the great plugin for years but for some reason, I am now not not receiving email from users. I changed nothing on my end. When I test, I do receive carbon copy – but as admin, I do not receive direct user messages [Website Contact] email.

I have tried different sendto emails and change from PHP to WP nothing works. Please help.

    Thanks.

Update. It seems to work if I use my website related email but won’t work when I use gmail account to send to admin clicking wp mail or php.

I assume you checked the spam folder in your GMail account and it’s not there, correct?

If it works with the address with the same domain as the site, then it’s likely that the hosting provider is considering it spam and not sending it out.

But that should only be an issue if your “From” is set to something different from your site’s domain.

Do you get the issue when the “Your Email” option value is set to the GMail address and the “From Address” (option below) is set to the address with the same domain as the site?

Also, can you set up WP Mail Logging, do a test and then check the log to see if any issues are reported there.

Hello, yes I did check spam.

BTW, when I have both “Your email” and “From address” set to email containing my domain (since it is now the only way it works,) I get gmail ugly reply heading “Be careful with this message Gmail could not verify that it actually came from thecount.com. Avoid clicking links, downloading attachments, or replying with personal information.” Not sure if that helps.

So “From address” is set to same as domain. But if the “Your email” is gmail and “From Address” is domain email I do not receive. But I do receive carbon copy user would receive. Hoping that’s a clue.

On a side note, when I toggle “Use PHP’s mail() instead of WP’s wp_mail()” I receive nothing regardless of what combination of email is used. Again, not sure if that is helpful.

In conclusion, the only way it works is if both fields are domain related email and wp_mail option is selected.

Thank you for assisting me in this I really appreciate it!

    Hi @thecount

I sent a message via your contact form (name Slobodan). Can you forward the email with the “be careful…” warning to the email address which I used to contact you.
