Disabling in development environments

Is there a filter or another setting that can be utilized to disable attempted authentication in a development environment? Often after I’ve synced my dev environment with production, the initial WordPress login cycle attempts to pass through Microsoft authentication. This fails, because our dev environment is using a different domain from our production domain. It’d be convenient for that initial step to just have the ability to disable the authentication attempts if my wp_environment_type() isn’t production, for example. Is there a way to currently do this?
