• Hi

I want my blog URL to look like this domain.com/blog
I want to have a blog in that subdomain or subdirectory called /blog
I want to create a static front page without sidebars and blog-functions at domain.com root domain.

When installing with Fantastico it askes if I want the URL to include a directory I should give the name of that directory right there “Install in Directory”.

    So the question is:
    1. Shall I create a subdomain /blog (blog.domain.com)and install the WP into that

    or

    2. Shall I create a directory in Fantastico during the installation?

What is the difference and what shall I choose in my case.
I get dizzy of this article even I believe it’s helpful

I want to add that right now I just want to install the blog to domain.com/blog and start working on it.
So I need only installation advice about these subdomanins and directories.

I have understod that giving the static front page a completely diffrent look needs someone who has the skills to do it. I don’t have those so I give it to someone ese to do.

    Thanx!!
