    Hi there.

Today I updated to version 6 and upgraded my events as well. As a result, I got a 500 critical error on my site. Fortunately, my hosting offers a solid backup system, so I have recovered almost everything.

I think it’s something related to Elementor and The Envens Calendar compatibility.

In addition to The Events Calendar, I am also using your other extensions:

    – Event Single Page Templates Addon.
    – Events Widgets For Elementor And The Events Calendar.
    – The Events Calendar Extension: Open external links in a new tab.

I think Events Widgets for Elementor is the one that crashed my site, because I tried to edit the page and Elementor displayed a warning saying there was an error and it was impossible to edit the page.

Are you planning to update these extensions soon?

    Kind regards.

    Hi there,

Sorry about the trouble you are facing here, we did release a hotfix for 6.0 just today, can you please try updating to that and see if it helps?

I also want to note that the plugin: “Events Widgets For Elementor And The Events Calendar” is not ours and is not something we technically Support, Events Calendar Pro contains integrations for Elementor Widgets, so you may either want to consider upgrading to that, or maybe disabling that Extension.

But please let me know if Updating to the Hotfix version helps this issue at all.

    Hi @tdorn, thanks for supporting ?? .

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I thought you made this plugin too. Unfortunately, I can’t possibly redo all the CSS, Javascript, and translation hard work I’ve been doing over the past year to give events the look I’ve always wanted, so I’ll have to wait for “Events Widgets For Elementor And The Events Calendar” to update before moving to the new version of your plugin.

Anyway, I don’t dare to update your plugin yet. I can see that there are many users who have problems with v6. I’m not sure how many times I can recover my site without it being broken forever, so I think it’s smarter to wait until things are back under control.

    Kind regards.

    Hi there @albridi

No worries at all, I just wanted to make that clear. And I fully understand your position, I would say you are only seeing the users with Issues because the many users who have upgraded without issue wouldn’t necessarily be posting!

But I think your position is a sound one, the best advice I can offer is to please make sure that when you do decide to up date, I would highly advise you do so in a staging environment before pushing it to live.

I will go ahead and mark this as resolved, if you have any other issues or concerns please don’t hesitate to post again!
