    Hi,
I’m getting a message when I try to move to checkout:

    Checkout Unavailable!
Checkout is not available at this time because a payment method has not been set up. Please notify the site administrator.

PayPal has been connected successfully. I don’t have many plugins that could create a conflict, I tried to disable them and try again. Does anyone have any advice?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @3welina, sorry to hear about this, and apologies for the delay in my reply here. Seems like you’re using Tickets Commerce.

For Tickets Commerce, could you make sure that the checkout page is selected? See the article here on how to set up the Tickets Commerce checkout page: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/tickets-commerce/.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Best,
    Abz

My team is having this issue too. I’m confused at your suggestion to make sure the checkout page is selected? The link with the video comments update that the checkout page is automatically created/selected by the plugin. So I’m confused. We have tried and tried to get this working. It worked great for a website we did last year when the plugin used tribe commerce. Not sure how to resolve the problem. Any other suggestions?? Any help is so very appreciated!
    Thank you!!!
    Paige

    Hello,

@paigettie, if you are using Tickets Commerce, you will need to make sure you choose Stripe or PayPal as the payment gateway. If you navigate to Tickets > Settings > Payments tab, you can then ensure that Tickets Commerce is enabled. Once it is enabled, you can then connect your PayPal and/or Stripe accounts.

@3welina, after trying what Abz recommended, and if you still are unable to check out, can you disconnect and reconnect your PayPal account? Did you notice this after a recent theme or plugin update?

And to both of you, if you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

    Thank you so much,
    Chad

Yes, we already had payPal connected, it didn’t change anything. We did however learn that the client on the paypal end had not finished verifying their account. We are waiting on that to see if that resolves the issue. Thanks.

    Hello,
I used a different plug in so I consider this resolved.

Thank you for the update, @3welina. Sad to see you go but happy you were able to get it working another way.

    Thank you,
    Chad

    Hi @paigettie,

Thank you for the update. I look forward to your reply with the results.

    Thank you,
    Chad

We have confirmed that if everything is set up properly on the plugin side, and the checkout unavailable error is still happening, the PayPal account has not been verified. As soon as the client finished verifying their account, the plugin works seamlessly.

Hopefully this will help others in the future. Works like a charm now!!

    Hello @paigettie,

Thank you for the update, and I’m happy to see it’s working for you now.

And thank you for the information, too. I am sure this will be helpful for other customers.

    Thank you so much,
    Chad

    Hello,

Thank you for your help thus far. I have a verification email for my business account from PayPal but I am still receiving this error. I just upgraded and now I am still getting the checkout error but not seeing the payment fields. It is saying that payment method is not setup for my event. Do we need to set it up per event or just once in settings.

Here is an example event. https://www.triangledac.org/tickets-checkout/?tec-tc-cookie=lI5RHpPW8H8Z
