Conversion with Real Cronjob

  • I can’t use WP CLI in the hosting. Is the any function, hook I can call by a “real” cron job to start the converting in regular intervals?

    The option to convert the picture on upload kills or slows down extremely any bulk upload. This feature is on possible for single pictures. The most converting libraries, break the upload after the fist image. GD don’t break but is unusable
    slow (tasks a lot of minutes after the first).

    So in think a real cron solution would fix the problem. I can write a function that I call with a corn. But how can I start the conversion programmatically?
