Use embded or shadowbox media

So I’m almost finished with my blog, but now I have a doubt; I installed Shadowbox-JS plugin because is fancy for the media; my question is…if the blog is going to have allot of traffic will shadowbox crash for pictures and video or it will work; I’m not a web developer but in your opinion and experience is Ok to use shadowbox or not, I mean for long term use; or just embded the pictures and videos.
