Hi, my website is under development.
I user the Divi template + Divi Event Calendar plugin.
All my plugin and wordpress is up to date.
I made 2 test event posts one or 2 monthes ago. Then I have to update the plugin to the version 6 and the plugin asked me to do a migration. I did it. Since 10 days I have the banner “Migration in progress” remains displayed, while it puts 2 events migrated 0 remaining. I can acces to my events.
I tried to desactivate all plugin etc. nothing change.

May you help me with that. Tks

  • Hey @jakspam,

The first thing I would do is to check out our guide to troubleshooting migrating events if you have not done so already. The very top section of the link covers your issue.

    Best!

    Hi,

Done > Retry preview link to restart the process
    No caching tool
    WP_Cron is active
    No Pending actions

So, if you have another idea.

    Many Tks

    Ok…

    1)

I’ve “diplay none” your crazy “Migration banner”.
I deleted my 2 test posts + empty trash.
I desactivated all my plugin (except divi event calendar)
    I uninstalled your plugin.
I installed the your 5.16.4 version
    I don’t created event post.
    I upgraded to version 6.1
I had to do a migration post (even if I don’t have any)
I had “Migration preview in progress” 0 events previewed > 0 remaining from 20 minutes..

    2)

    I uninstalled your plugin.
I uploaded directly the version 6.1 (still have no event post)
The same issue : I have “Migration preview in progress” 0 events previewed > 0 remaining from 20 minutes…

Ok this time I can creat events post, but I have a big uggly banner :

One more thing to do… To complete this major calendar upgrade, you need to migrate your events to the new data storage system. Once migration finishes, you can take advantage of all the cool new 6.0 features!

I try, I try, I try to migrate (migrate what ?), but impossible.

I bought the divi event calendar plugin and was just about to buy your plugin to use it with other templates, when I got stuck. There, frankly, I am a little less enthusiastic. I saw I’m not alone to improve migration issue, but normally I have nothing to migrate. So…

    Tks

Hi @jakspam, apologies for the delay here. Yes, it is a bug on our plugin when migrating to 6.0. We recently released fixes for the migration. Could you try updating and see if the issue persists? https://theeventscalendar.com/known-issues/#dl_migration-errors

We highly recommend testing it out on a staging site before implementing it on your main website. Please keep a working backup of your website as well.

Let me know how it goes.

    Best,
    Abz

The banner dispear and I can update/create events… But the Migration preview in progress not ending (2 hours now).
    So no, it’s not resolved.
If I buy your plugin, will you be able to solve this problem… quickly ?

Hooray Hooray Hooray! I restarted the process twice and… it worked. Thanks. I will finally be able to test the plugin properly. If it works well, I’ll upgrade to premium. +++
