Make video links in posts show thumbnails on front page

  • I’ve just started my new website. I’m using the Sinatra theme. When I post links to YouTube videos in my posts, I want them to show on my front page so people can watch them there with one click. I’ve done that on my other website, but that was years ago and I can’t remember how I did it. This seems like a very simple thing for a person to want, so there must be a very simple way to make this happen. But I’ve spent hours looking though my menus now and I still can’t find it. Where is it? Thanks.

    Someone else apparently figured out how to solve this problem in another thread, where he said:

    The “Category View” in the theme was set to “excerpt”.

    All I need is for someone to tell me what sequence of links to follow to do that. Thanks.
