    Hi, I’ve been noticing that people who are already subscribed to my mailing list get removed from it (they can only receive transactional emails) when they create a new user account on my website with the email address they use for the mailing list. Basically, your plugin assumes a new site member is not on the mailing list at registration when it should be checking whether that member is on the mailing list first or not.

    Those people didn’t realize they were kicked off the mailing list until they stopped receiving emails they needed.

    We were able to test our current production version by the following method and was unable to replicate said behavior.

    1. find a contact already subscribed in Mailchimp but is not yet a customer/user in WordPress/woocommerce site.
    2. use my account registration to signup at /my-account with the same contact email address.
    3. At this point we did not notice a change in subscription as it remained.

    Could you confirm if that is the correct steps we used to test this? Also could you write aback with the current version of the plugin in used.

    Lastly could you enable the Remote Diagnostics option under settings in the Plugin dashboard and let us know the domain in question. We’ll be happy to take a closer look.

    Thanks for getting back to me.

    Your steps are correct.

    For #3, the email address/user has not switched to “transactional emails only”? That’s what I’m seeing in Mailchimp. And if I look under their user profile on my website under the Mailchimp section, the User Subscribed checkbox is unchecked.

    I updated to 2.7.6 recently (earlier this week) but when I posted the issue, it was with 2.7.4. I haven’t had anyone sign up under the new version yet.
