Private posts are not Private

  • i have made a post on my blog private (password required) however it seems that if you just click the post title (elyse and doug) the images will show regardless if a password has been entered or not…?

    is this a common issue or am i just doing something wrong?

    i create the post. i make the post private/password protected. enter the password, click update. log out. and i run into the same issue every time.

    Are you logged in when you click on the Post. Seems I have had a few times when WordPress remembered me and I had to either exit the site or close and reopen by Browser to get the proper action.

    Have you had a friend that has never logged in try the link?

    i log out (cleared the cache) every time and have tried 3 different computers….same thing.

    and posted on a forum i am a part of and they can all see the images as well. were you not able to view them when you clicked on the post title?

    I clicked on the link and it ask for a password and did not let me in. I saw no pictures when I clicked on the link.

    This is the page that I got stopped at: https://blog.perspectiveye.com/?p=2017 – no pictures for me, wanted a password. I am using Firefox 3.6.6

    some comments from others who have tested it:

    Just tried it, the pw was left blank I clicked on submit, the page re-loaded, without showing the images.
    I then clicked on the link, and it popped up in a new page with all the images.
    Don’t know if this is due to step 1, or a problem.
    I am at work using IE7″

    anyone else?

    IE7 here, no combination of anything people are trying in your post got me in,

    I am unable to view any images
