  • Hey @mindtakerminis

We are working on a fix for that migration error as it is impacting some of our awesome users. We’ll report back here shortly as the fix is released.

    The good news is that:

    1. You should still be able to use your calendar normally until the migration is complete.
    2. You just won’t have access to the new features temporarily.
    3. You can sit back and wait for the release!

    Our apologies for the inconvenience.

    Hang in there!

Hi @mindtakerminis, appreciate your patience here. Were you able to test v6.0.1.1 and see if the issue still persists? We recommend testing it out on staging site, and please do keep a working backup of your website.

    Hang in there.

    Best,

I’ll give it a shot this morning.

So now, I’m trying the migrate and it just gets stuck here:

The Events Calendar product suite logo Migration preview in progress
We're scanning your existing events so you'll know what to expect from the migration process. You can keep using your site and managing events. Check back later for the next step of migration.

    48 events previewed
    307 remaining
    Retry

My site has also been real slow and I see a lot of queries to event calendar, so I’m not sure that it isn’t stuck trying to preview the events in the background.

The event Mists of Mindtaker – D&D 5E Adventure Series (Level 3) – “TBD” – All Ages Session generated an error: [Undefined index: path]. Please try again or check out our Troubleshooting tips.
The event Mists of Mindtaker – D&D 5E Adventure Series (Level 3) – “TBD” – 18+ Session cannot be migrated because we do not yet support tickets on recurring events. Remove the tickets or wait to migrate until a path is available (Read more).

Okay, so it appears that the recurring events are holding it up now. I managed to clear the stuck state (someone was editing an event).

Hi @mindtakerminis, appreciate the updates here.

Yes, it would be best if you could clear any drafts and trash while you’re migrating. To be safe please try the updates and migration on a staging site first. Just to confirm, you were able to finish the migration and update to v6.0.1?

Let us know and keep us posted.

    Best,
    Abz

I was able to get the migration review to update but now it is stuck because of tickets and recurring events.

Hi @mindtakerminis, thanks for the updates. Could you try clearing any drafts or trash and see if that makes a difference? Would also be helpful if you could share any warnings/errors on your end.

We’d recommend conducting these tests on a Staging Server.

Let me know how it goes.

    Best,

Sorry if I was unclear. I think I am unable to upgrade until recurring events get tickets.

    Hi there,

We wanted to let you know with our latest release of The Events Calendar 6.0.2; we resolved an issue that was causing error messages regarding critical errors that prevented migration from completing. Be sure to review our full Release Notes for more details and update your plugin at your earliest convenience.

As always, we suggest testing updates on a staging site first and having a recent backup, but it should all be smooth sailing. If you implemented any workarounds, you may remove them after updating the plugins.

If you still have issues after updating to the latest releases, please open a new forum thread and include any specific details with screenshots if possible.

    Have a great day,
