    Hello,

I just purchased a 1 year subscription to Videopress ??

Is it possible to remove the radial gradient overlay you put on the player on mouse over ? On fullscreen mode, it’s really annoying to have the video darkened every time a user touches the mouse…

I tried to modify the videopress-overlay div style in the code to “background:transparent!important”, but it doesn’t work.

    Thanks a lot !

    Hi @33singes

This dark overlay you are seeing is part of our videoplayer’s design. It was added to help make the controls more visible, but does disappear once the mouse is moved away from the video, as you noted. The video player’s CSS styles are managed in a centralized way, which means that we cannot change this on your site, even using CSS.

    Hello Bruce,

Thanks for the details, I understand.

It’s a pity that we can’t change this, I’m disappointed. The overlay is really a problem on rather dark videos as soon as the user is in fullscreen mode, because the mouse can’t be moved away from the video.

    Hello,

I just uploaded a second video, for this one the player has a different design, how is that possible…?

No overlay, but the 0,75x has disappeared in the speed settings (it’s the most important for music), and there are no quality option anymore.

Can you please help solving this major issue ? Two different player on one site is really a problem.

    Thanks a lot !

OK I figured out what happened, it is because of the Divi video module.

Do you have some experience and recommendations regarding VideoPress with Divi ? In which type of module should we put the VideoPress URL ? With a simple text module, it seems to work, but the player doesn’t show in the visual builder. On front end it’s OK, hopefully on all browsers.

    Thanks again.

    Hi @33singes

Unfortunately, I’m not sure how to resolve the inconsistencies in Divi. If it works using a text module, that is probably the best way to proceed, especially if it is working on the front end.

You might try reaching out to Divi to see if they can look into increasing compatibility with VideoPress.

OK, thanks for your answer. I tested several possibilities, a VideoPress shortcode in a Divi text module seems fine ! The player shows up in the Divi builder as well as in front end.

    Excellent, I’m glad that works.

I’m going to mark this thread as resolved for now.
