Anchor link when loading page does not work

  • When navigating to an anchor link, the page loads and, if watching the scrollbar, one can see that page positions at the anchor link then scrolls up to the top of the page. I’ve tried this link with all plugins disabled and the same behavior occurs. Does anyone know of any js or css that would cause the page to scroll to the top on load? I can’t seem to find it. We’re on Version 6.0.2.

    It’s likely something your theme is doing. As a test, try switching to one of the twenty* default themes. If we’re now taken to the right section, it confirms its something about your theme. Try asking through the theme’s dedicated support channel. Perhaps the devs and expert users there could shed more light on the behavior.
