Automatic upgrade to 3.0.1 asks for FTP credentials

  • As the subject says. Absolutely nothing changed in any of wordpress files permission or ownership.

    “To perform the requested action, WordPress needs to access to your web server. Please enter your FTP credentials to proceed.”

    I’ve always performed automatic upgrades in the past successfully, so I don’t know why it shouldn’t work this time.

    (and I don’t have any FTP server running.)

    This is my fourth WP site and the first time I have been asked for FTP credentials. When changing/installing a new theme.
    I am working on localhost and my mysql password don’t work. I have tried every combination but why am I being asked when I’m not using FTP?
