@laragoogleanalytics Hello, at this time, Google is not supporting anything but GA4, I tried and it would not work, no matter what I try.

Seems it’s for new accounts, Note: Google Site Kit works without fail. So maybe they have the cart before the horse this time, no new accounts can be setup using anything but GA4.

    Please advise and thank you…

    Hello @neikoloves,

First, the project is not dead, we are here to support our users.

For now, accessing GA4 properties/streams is not possible, as the API is still in beta :

    https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/config/admin/v1

Warning: This is an early preview version of the API and is subject to change. While we will try to notify you of upcoming changes, you should expect to encounter breaking changes before the APIs are publicly released.

As soon as Google releases the final version of their API, we will add GA4 to the widget.

For now, you can create new properties with both “GA4” and “UA” tracking codes, which will be visible in the widget.

When you create a property, click on “Show Advanced Options” and click on “Create a Universal Analytics Property”.

Please be advised, this will not work for already created properties, as you need to create a new property, to have the “advanced options”.

As for “Google Site Kit”, its their own system and API, they know what will be in the final release, we don’t.

Also, it is not our fault that Google decided to announce the deprecation of V3, without a finalized, released API for GA4.

With that said, and by popular demand, we are trying to release a compatible version very soon (using the 1st version of the current beta API).

I hope it is clear now.

@laragoogleanalytics I read what you are saying, but there is no place to allow us to use UA anymore, trust me I tried and it’s just been removed with a notice that they no longer support new UA analytics setup>

So there is where the issue is sadly, I can’t even test this, the option is seemly greyed out as they already have me setup under a GA4 setup.

Will try to setup another account as you are stating is likely the issue and see if that helps, Google is a pain sometimes, what a nested hot mess, I can’t even understand why they have to make such a nested mess of an application with way too many options.

Please advise and thank you kindly for your support.

    Hello @neikoloves,

They disabled adding UA to existing properties, but you should still be able to create “new” UA properties, using the “advanced options”, as discussed before.

And yes, it is a big mess, but hopefully it will all get sorted out ??
