Greetings all, a beginner here. I am trying to install the plugin and the download as well as the version is fine. As soon as I click on “activate” I get the error: “The plugin does not have a valid header” which I don’t quite understand. I would appreciate any tips or suggestions on what I should do in case this is on my end.

    Hi,

I will pass this info to our developers, if you go to Plugins, can you see the plugin there? Does it activate properly? It has happened to me a couple times over the years, but never really paid much attention to this, I thought it was just a server hiccup.

Keep me posted on how it went.

Yes, I tried it appears deactivated and no matter how many times I try it keeps giving me the same error. I appreciate your response. Looking forward to a possible solution.

    Hi @thedeerkami,

Could you please try deleting NGG ( and also make sure by FTP that the entire nextgen-gallery folder is removed ) then re-download NGG from https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/nextgen-gallery/ and manually install it new from your site’s "Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add new -> Upload plugin" to see if that’ll change anything?

Thank you for your suggestion, yesterday night apparently there was an update for the plugin, and today when I updated it worked perfectly, thank you so much for your support and suggestion! Cheers!
