    Hi @shivanshg,

Thanks for opening a support topic. We’d be happy to assist you with this. So we can determine more on this, please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. Did you have site Kit set up on this site successfully previously, including on a different domain name or with a different https status?
    3. On the page where you encounter this error, what is the full address in your browsers address bar? Feel free to share this privately in the form suggested above if you wish.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

Many thanks for the update, and for sharing your Site Health information. I’ve checked the details and I can see a plugin active that can change your wp-admin path. As it’s possible that you may have a different wp-admin path now to that registered on the Site Kit service, can you please temporary deactivate the WPS Hide Login plugin before attempting Site Kit set up once more?

If you encounter any further errors let me know and we can troubleshoot this further, possibly by performing a plugin reset if you’ve never completed set up previously.

Thanks for the update @shivanshg. If it’s the same error you’re encountering, please follow the steps below. This can help rule out other third party plugin conflicts.

    1. Login to your site from a Chrome browser incognito window
    2. Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
    3. Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    4. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google”
    5. Attempt to setup Site Kit once more

Let me know how you get on with the check above. If the same occurs, please share at what stage you encounter this error and any browser console errors you see on that page.

    (@shivanshg)

Appreciate the update. In that case, I’ll need to check this with the team. Please allow me some time to do this, I’ll hopefully have an update for you at some stage tomorrow at the latest. I think you’ve provided sufficient information for the team to check your site records on the Site Kit service.

    Hi @shivanshg,

Thanks for the update. A plugin update is unlikely to resolve the issue you’re encountering, but I will have an update for you at some stage today. Please allow me some time while I discuss your case with the team.

Many thanks for your patience on this @shivanshg.

I’ve discussed your case with the team and it looks like you may have mismatching URLs within defined within your WordPress environment, one as secure (https) and the other non-secure (http), along with different cases for each.

Before attempting Site Kit set up once more, can you visit your WordPress general settings, and defining both your WordPress address and your site address as https, while ensuring both URLs are lower case?

Let me know how you get on with the above, or ask if you have any questions.
