I messed up function.php and can't get back to fix it

    I have a feeling this is a repost with a simple fix, but I am stuck.
    I have sidebar code written in my function.php and went to change the name of one of them. I missed a backtick ( ‘ ) and then the site shut down. I can’t get in to change easy problem–I just get a ‘parse error’ screen.
    I downloaded filezilla and can’t figure out how to access ftp; I might have the wrong username. I used my login username [email protected]. and the password I use to access dashboard. What am I doing wrong?

  • Your FTP info comes from your host – it is completely separate from the user-name and password for your WordPress software.

    Your host should have sent you the FTP (log-in) information when you first signed up. Check your first emails from your host after you signed up.

    If all else fails contact your host for the FTP info.
