• I have been having an issue with our web site. All users get a 503 service unavailable error message while trying to log in and get to the dashboard. No plugins have been added. We’re running version 6.0.2. The site is hosted through GoDaddy and they have been no help. A friend also has a WordPress site and has the same issue. We’re at a loss. What are some things we can do? Can we do a reinstall without being able to access the dashboard?

A 503 error is a server error. You need to look at the error logs on the server to find out what the error actually is. Without that information, you’re just guessing.

The 503 service unavailable error occurs when your web server is unable to get a proper response from a PHP script. This PHP script could be a WordPress plugin, a theme, or a misbehaving custom code snippet, etc. If these methods fail to resolve the error, then try contacting your hosting provider.

I have disabled all plugins and deleted the theme and still have issues. My hosting provider hasn’t been any help. I guess I’ll have to reinstall it. Thanks.
